"The
first step is always the hardest."
"The
first step is your stepping stone towards a brighter future."
These
are the two quotes actually playing in my mind as I find the perfect
time and setting for me to write my first blog entry. Well, I'm not a
newbie when it comes to writing because to tell you honestly, it has
always been my first love. But like everyone else, I still feel a
pinch of pressure in my nerves. The words "Where to begin?"
keep on haunting me.
Like
most people, I feel that the first time attempts to anything are the
hardest. We feel afraid to try out things we've never encountered
before because we're not sure of whether the outcome's going to give
us a good vibe or a face with the most painful consequences of life.
This explanation may sound far from what I should feel about
blogging. You may find this quite odd or exaggerated. But, what I'm
trying to point out is that we should learn to weigh the motives of
our hearts before getting into anything. It's as simple as "Make
it or Break it" in the realm of cliche. And on the best context,
"Is it pleasing or displeasing God?"
Over
the years, I have tried several attempts in making a blog and
actually settled on one using this same Blogger account. My first
official blog was named: "Tenderfoot
Town"
with the simple label "Express"
What I wanted to share before were what I feel like worth expressing
by making a list of top tens that I've always believed for. The name
TENDERFOOT TOWN
hides underneath it two facts about the said site. First, Tenderfoot
is an adjective that describes someone as new in a certain activity.
In this case, as a new blogger. Second, it gives the noted top TENS
I thought of years back before publishing them online. This blog
survived for years with three contents until I lose the time to
pursue it. And just this year did I have the burning passion within
me to start fresh on a new blog that will serve as an extension of my
thoughts and beliefs that I hope readers will enjoy and learn from.
My
newest, latest cyber addiction (laughing out loud) is this blog I
named "BlogBoardSpace"
with the tag "Across the
Board."
BlogBoardSpace
was inspired from the words BlackBoard
Space.
Why? My writing was first discovered and further nurtured in the four
corners of the classroom which served as my training ground. I was
always given the opportunity to maximize a blackboard's space by
confidently writing down sentences, equations and even personal
thoughts. Now it's time to go outside the box and discover more
beautiful things offered in the World Wide Web. My ideas that were
primarily constructed in school will be readily available in
BlogBoardSpace
with just a click.
On
the other hand, the tag Across
the Board
means broad in context or all-embracing which gives all of you the
note that anything and everything under the sun that I can think of
will be seen in this blog.
And
so the birth of my blog story ends here. I believe the first step is
really the hardest. It took me minutes to start with a letter and as
I've typed down the first word, I realized that I became instantly
vocal and didn't even pause for long. I guess one's first step will
be the stepping stone to a brighter future-like finishing a blog
entry. Don't misquote me. These two sayings will always be revealed
differently to everyone. We may not all succeed in proving that these
are accurate. These are just motivational words to push us in
reaching goals. I still believe that God designed something better
for all of us regarding first times. In everything we do, let us
remember that we are nothing apart from Him.
I
thank the Lord for blessing me with the gift of writing and wisdom. I
pray fervently that this blog's cause will not credit me anything but
will please and glorify my Creator who made all things possible.
With
God, your first step will always be a delight.
Sealing
this with love,
Diane
